We are very aware of our responsibilities to the environment and future generations - and that extends to the way in which we do business, and choose our suppliers and other business partners.

Wood is a renewable and recyclable resource, since reforestation is achieved through professional forest management and correct harvesting. Our aim is to ensure that all the wood used in the floors that we source comes from carefully managed sustainable forests.

Hardwood floors have a longer life than floor coverings such as carpet and vinyl. While old carpet and vinyl may end up in landfill, a hardwood floor can be restored and rejuvenated. Indeed, a solid hardwood floor can often outlive a building and be reclaimed for use elsewhere.

Producing real wood flooring uses very little energy and we keep packaging to a minimum. Our floors are supplied in their natural state - our customers to make their own choice on finishing. However, for both ascetic and environmental reasons, we recommend a natural oil or wax product.

We also try to ensure that many of our products are delivered in an efficient manner to reduce the road miles and carbon footprint of each product. When its possible we will deliver direct from the import warehouse and offer two to three day deliveries which make it easier for couriers to group your goods with other parcels to be delivered in your area.
