Practical and easy living

A wood floor is warm in winter, cool in summer.

There is a common misconception that wood flooring must be treated with kid gloves but this is simply not true - wood is one of the most durable flooring options available. Rooms and areas that take some of the heaviest traffic - including public halls, sports halls, gyms and dance studios - almost always feature a wood floor with an appropriate level of lacquer or oil treatment applied.

Wooden flooring can be installed virtually anywhere - for example direct to existing floorboards or concrete sub floor, or even direct to joists. Different floors are better suited to certain areas and certain installation methods are better than others. Please contact us for our advice and recommendations.

A wood floor is easy to clean, durable and very hard wearing.

Regular care and cleaning is as easy as 123 - here's how:
(1) Use protective mats at external entrances to minimise dirt, grit and stones being drawn across the floor.
(2) Sweep or vacuum occasionally.
(3) Periodically clean with a pH neutral wood floor cleaner solution - just a cap full added to warm water and applied with a damp mop.

A wooden floor can be rejuvenated with wood a reviver product such as Osmo liquid wax cleaner - or re-coated periodically to make it as good as new again.

With its natural hollow cell structure, wood has fantastic heat insulation and sound insulation properties. In fact just 1" of wood is equivalent to almost 1' of concrete.

When other flooring options are starting to look tired and worn out a wood floor will maintain its beauty and life.
