Pet stains

Description
While pet stains are sometimes light, they can also be much darker - and the odour will be the tell tale sign of its origin.

Possible causes
Pet stains can cause a corrosive stain that will penetrate through the surface finish. Due to their nature they are bad news for wood floors - an untrained pet will cause problems that can be hard to rectify.

Remedial tips
Generally, lighter coloured stains are less of a problem and may well come out, or be reduced, by sanding. Stains that occur in same place over again, as is often the way with pets, often appear darker in colour - and are even harder to remove and may not sand out easily.

Obviously you can use a carpet or rug to hide unwanted pet stains - but removal and replacement or repair is often the best option.
