Penetrating stains or wax products
Use ink blotting paper and a press iron on medium heat to 'draw out' the wax from the wood flooring. Repeat as necessary with fresh pieces of blotting paper and clean any residue as necessary with wood flooring cleaner, and re-wax if necessary.

Lacquer or other surface finish
Use ink blotting paper and a press iron on medium heat to 'draw out' the wax from the wood flooring. Repeat as necessary with fresh pieces of blotting paper.

Carefully remove any remaining residue or stain with a cloth impregnated with a urethane/lacquer wood flooring cleaner.
