Sikabond AT-80 wood flooring adhesive
A new wood flooring adhesive, Sikabond AT-80 is launched by Sika UK and will be on sale on the Source Wood Floors website from 1st February 2010.
The Sikabond AT-80 is a 1-component, solvent and isocyanate free elastic adhesive based upon Silan Terminated Polymers for full surface bonding of all wood floors. This new innovation from Sika provides a new breed of wood flooring adhesive and comes in a larger 17Kg tub and is designed to cover a 20m2 area.

Put this together with a very competitive trade price on the new product, it is expected to rapidly increase in sales from lauch and gain impressive market share of the bonded wood floor market in 2010.
Benfits include: a bond strength that is equal to a polyurethane (unlike an MS which only possesses about 15% bond strength of a PU) but is also very easy to spread, has excellent trowel profile retention and will clean off of the surface of pre-finished wood floors and tools even weeks after it has fully cured.
In addition, The Sika AT 80 is totally compatible with all other SikaBond materials in the range including Sika Primer MB & SikaBond Rapid DPM. It is supplied in eco friendly recyclable plastic buckets and each bucket will cover approximately 20/m2.
