Burano grey oiled & brushed oak is just one of the high quality Venetian stained oak range offered by Source Wood Floors. This Oak wood flooring board is 189mm wide and 21mm thick with 1830mm length boards (possibly up to 15% split lengths).

As a single plank 21mm solidengineered wood floor, this board is made from a multiply construction with several layers of base material. Each layer runs in an opposite direction and results in a structural floorboard offering the very best in dimensional stability.

Engineered wood floors are constructed with a top hardwood layer plus a base layer. In this product the base material is Spruce and it benefits from a tongue and groove profile on all four sides of the plank. This structural wood floor features a huge top wear layer of 6mm which can be sanded six times. This makes this a semi solid or solidengineered wood floor as the top layer is similar to the amount of wood above the T&G of a solid wood floor.

However a hardwood floor that is cared for and well maintained should not need sanding for fifteen to twenty years or so. Each floorboard has a bevel edge detail (a V groove) which helps to emphasise the plank look of every floorboard.

The rustic grade of this oak wooden floor exudes a wealth of character and charm with natural markings, colour variations, mineral streaks, growth rings and a mix of closed and open knots.

This floor is produced from timber that has been sourced from a sustainable resource. To provide a natural finish to the floor that offers durability and which brings out the natural character and grain, this floor is pre-finished in a natural oil.

Before finishing this floor is wire brushed across the surface of the wood which removes softer timber in the grain and enhances it by producing a textured surface to the floor. Before the top surface finish is applied to the floor, the surface of the wood is colour stained with Grey colour stain. This flooring is suitable for use with Under Floor Heating systems. Burano grey oiled & brushed oak can be installed by floating the flooring onto a suitable wood flooring underlay or it can be glued down with a flexible floor adhesive such as Sikabond. It is usually available 1-3 days and comes in a 1.38m2 pack.
