The Colossus wide board range is an impressive and massive 244mm wide single plank in a rustic character grade of oak, supplied in lengths of up to 1860mm. It's great value and is suited to large open spaces both commercial and residential. It is particularly at home in period properties and is popular with developers of barn conversions.
It is ideal for secret nailing or installation by the full stick down method with Sikabond T54 adhesive. Installation with the Sika professional wood flooring glue is recomended and ideal for use with underfloor heating installations.
The boards comprise a 6mm top layer of oak in a single plank built upon a 15mm base layer, giving a conventional three ply construction. It comes in a 2.68 sq m pack. Colossus boards are classified 'rustic' grade because they are full of character and can contain knots, mineral streaks and sap wood. However, as the product photography shows, the boards can also be very clean and free of knots.
