Sound Features
Tuplex meets the latest requirements for impact sound isolation (20dB). It also provides a depp rich solid sound in the room. Tuplex is constructed by laminating two layers of solid polyethene with flexible polystyrene "Polyshims" in between them

Compressibility
Tuplex holds its shape well under load. Tuplex was tested under a load corresponding to 600kg/m2. During the seven day test period Tuplex lost just 4% of its thickness. Commonly used foam underlays lost 56% of their thickness in the same period.

Levels the sub-floor
Only Tuplex underlay has a consistency that forms itself to the sub-floor. Thousands of Polyshims eliminate slight variations and provide even and firm support to the flooring at all times. Variations in a sub-floor surface can cause movement where the planks of the floating floor meet and are joined together.
