Solid wood with a low moisture content tends to fare best when partnered with underfloor heating. This is due to the innate natural state of the wood already being quite dry, meaning seasonal expanding and contracting is minimised.
We recommend using a maximum thickness of 125mm when laying a wood floor to be used over the top of underfloor heating. Underfloor heating is tipped to be the future of home heating, so we keep our ear to the ground in terms of industry news and product development in both our own sector and that of sustainable housing materials and processes.
