With the introduction of the new Osmo Polyx-Oil “Tints” range it is now possible to really make your wooden flooring
sparkle. Even an oil and wax finished wooden floor can impress with sparkling character – the new and exciting colour tones within a special level of pigmentation in the gold and silver tones lend an understated but extravagant "glitter“ optic, especially when the sun embraces the floor surface with its warm light. The distinctive sheen adds a touch of elegance and class to any room. Among the colour range are other popular tones such as white, honey, amber, terra, graphite and black.
The new Polyx-Oil “Tints”
have been based and developed around the renowned Original Polyx®-Oil which has more than proven itself over years as a top class surface finish. It not only retains the natural beauty and character of the wood in a perfect way but is also easy-to-use and apply.
Osmo Polyx®-Oil “Tints” are perfect for do-it-yourself customers who wish to colour their floor. The surface of the floor remains micro porous and can be spot repaired without a problem. After applying the tinted first coat, simply apply a topcoat of the Original Polyx®-Oil clear and your new, individual and modern floor is ready!
Floors that have been finished with Osmo Polyx®-Oil are especially durable. The surface is water and dirt resistant, and resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices and milk (in accordance with DIN 68861-1C German Industrial norm).
The Osmo Polyx®-Oil range is perfect for the finishing of raw wood and old or sanded floor surfaces which you would like to refinish or renovate – regardless whether it be solid or plank wood, block strip or cork.
A Osmo hardwax-oil based finish cannot be compared with a more conventional floor sealing finish, as the natural oil and wax based finish is much more of an eco conscious alternative. The natural renewable ingredients guarantee an even colour dispersion and harmonic optic.
The surface is, when dry, safe for humans, animals and plants, and can be used for children’s toys in accordance with both EN 71.3 (suitable for children’s toys) as well as DIN 53160
